Who We Are

OsburnLabs LLC is an Illinois limited liability company that develops mobile games and apps. This privacy policy describes how OsburnLabs LLC ("OsburnLabs," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with our mobile game Shoot Your Way Out (the "App").

The Short Version

The App itself collects nothing. We don't run analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting. We don't have user accounts or logins. We don't know who you are.

A small amount of information is handled by two third-party services built into the App — Google AdMob, for the optional rewarded video ads, and Apple App Store / Google Play Billing, for the optional one-time purchase. Those services have their own privacy policies, which we link below.

That's the whole picture. The rest of this document explains it in more detail.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from your device to any server we operate:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information
  • Account credentials (we don't have user accounts)
  • Location data
  • Photos, contacts, microphone, or camera data
  • Browsing history or behavioral data
  • Crash reports, performance traces, or error logs
  • Gameplay analytics or telemetry

The App does not include any analytics SDK or telemetry service, and no code in the App makes outbound network requests on our behalf.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores game-related information on your device using your device's standard local storage. This includes:

  • Your game progress, save state, and in-game currency
  • Settings such as music and sound effects volume
  • Permanent progression (unlocked skills and similar)
  • Whether you have purchased the optional Operator License
  • Daily bonus and flea-market state

This information stays on your device. It is not transmitted to OsburnLabs or anyone else. Uninstalling the App deletes this information. Reinstalling the App starts fresh — there is no cloud backup or cross-device sync.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob (rewarded ads)

The App offers two optional rewarded video ads: one to replace a skill choice when you level up, and one to revive after dying. Watching these ads is voluntary — you can play the entire App without watching any.

We use Google AdMob in non-personalized mode. This means AdMob does not build a behavioral profile of you to target ads. Even so, AdMob collects limited information when an ad is shown, including:

  • Your device's advertising identifier (AAID on Android, or IDFA on iOS if you have allowed ad tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt)
  • Your IP address
  • Basic device information (model, operating system version)
  • Information about your interaction with the ad (whether it loaded, completed, etc.)

AdMob uses this information for ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. Google's handling of this information is governed by Google's own policies:

You can limit ad tracking on your device:

  • iOS: decline Apple's tracking permission prompt when it appears, or change it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android: reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Apple App Store and Google Play (in-app purchases)

The App offers one optional in-app purchase: the Operator License, a one-time non-consumable purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store (on iOS) or Google Play Billing (on Android). OsburnLabs never sees, stores, or processes your payment information.

Apple and Google retain records of your purchase under their own policies:

Apple and Google may share aggregated, anonymized purchase reports with us so we know how many copies have been sold, but they do not share personal information about individual purchasers.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. OsburnLabs does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through one of our integrated third-party services (AdMob or in-app purchase), please contact us at contact@osburnlabs.com and we will take appropriate steps in coordination with the relevant third-party service.

Security

Because OsburnLabs collects no personal information, there is no personal information held by us that could be compromised by a security breach on our systems. Information handled by Google AdMob, Apple, and Google Play is protected by those companies' own security practices.

Your Choices

  • You can play the App without ever watching a rewarded ad.
  • You can play the App without making any in-app purchase.
  • You can limit ad tracking via your device's privacy settings (see "Google AdMob" above).
  • You can uninstall the App at any time, which removes all locally stored game data.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the App or our website provides a way to notify you, we will do so. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
